The island of Isla Mujeres is located close to one of many coral reefs such as the one located in Garrafon Park, which is an attraction popular for its snorkeling and scuba diving. The Cancún Underwater Museum, created by English sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, is located off the western coast of Isla Mujeres. The island is connected to the mainland (Cancun) via ferry.
Cenotes are natural sinkholes that are formed by the collapse of limestone bedrock, exposing groundwater. The Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico is home to an estimated 10,000 cenotes. The ancient Maya considered cenotes sacred, partly because they were a source of fresh water.
The Pit Cenote is located in Dos Ojos Natural Park, around 22 km north of Tulum and 54 km south of Playa del Carmen along the road which links the two towns. The Pit Cenote is a popular diving spot on the Yucatan Peninsula, known for its stunning 100-foot pillar of light illuminating the halocline and gas cloud layers.
The Dos Ojos cenotes are located in the Tulum area of Mexico. The name “Dos Ojos” means “two eyes” in Spanish, and refers to the two neighbouring cenotes that connect into a very large cavern zone shared between the two. The two cenotes are called the Bat Cave and the Barbie Line.
Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve is a nature reserve located in central Belize, close to the Guatemala border. It was setup to protect the natural pine forests. Since it is sparsely populated it is a great place to venture around on a motorcycle.
Considering its proximity to the massive jungles in the north of Guatemala, and the fact that Belize is a very small country, the landscapes here are unique. You can explore several caves, some Maya ruins, rivers and waterfalls all within close proximity.
There are a lot of hidden gems as well, from Abandoned logging villages, to private reserves of the famous, Francis Ford Coppola has a massive estate here.
As of 2018, All hard clay or loose hard packed gravel.

Camping is NOT allowed in the Reserve. You can camp at one of the lodges inside the reserve. Check out Pine Ridge Lodge . Neil the owner is very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area.
Be aware of your Motorcycle impact on the environment and the peacefulness of the place.
South of the Reserve is the biggest Mayan Ruins in Belize, Caracol
Accessing the Reserve
The reserve is best accessed from the north at a town called San Ignacio. There will be a Ranger station on the road entering the reserve, you need to give them details of the place you’re staying.
Why is it a ‘Best Ride’
Belize is a very small country (even for central american standards). You wont find many areas where you can just ride around so freely. Most other places like this will have fences everywhere to stop the adventurer from looking around. This is not the case in Mountain Pine Ridge, you’re free to explore for days. Enjoy!
Tikal is the king of Mayan sites in Guatemala. Located in a remote area in Guatemala, it is one of the largest archeological sites and urban centers of the pre-ColumbianMaya civilization. Tikal was the capital of a conquest state that became one of the most powerful kingdoms of the ancient Maya. Though monumental architecture at the site dates back as far as the 4th century BC, Tikal reached its apogee during the Classic Period, c. 200 to 900. During this time, the city dominated much of the Maya region politically, economically, and militarily, while interacting with areas throughout Mesoamerica such as the great metropolis of Teotihuacan in the distant Valley of Mexico.
Semuc is a hidden wonder in the lush mountainous jungle around 11kms from the nearest town, Lanquin. The site is 300m long and is a natural forming limestone bridge that cascades down forming a number of pools.
